For many years I wanted to write a book. It was like an itch that wouldn't go away. I was convinced I had the knowledge and the ability to write well, but somehow I just couldn't get started. 

Over the years I saw other people writing and successfully selling their books, and I noticed some authors made a lot of money with what I thought were silly books. I remember thinking, " I can write a better book than that!" Frankly I envied the authors who actually published their books. Yet the years passed and I was getting older and still no book.

Life happens and time seems to pass by faster as you get older, right? The bread and butter career feeds the family, and the kids grow up, and along the way unexpected things happen. As my mother used to say when I was a kid, "If it isn't one thing, it's another." There's always something to get in the way of writing a book and successfully marketing it. I always had an excuse for not writing my books, and I justified my excuses.
